Snow always leaves behind a mysterious radiance to the city. If snow was personified it would indubitably be Kiki Strike, the fictional character created by Kristin Miller.
Today was the first time I had been out in the snow all season. Just as quickly as I rushed out, I was longing to go back to my toasty apartment. Oh how I miss warm weather when I could still wear my Topshop Miami Floral bodycon dress.
Staycation in New York? I’ve got you covered. On the bright side I’m officially on Winter Break, so it’s time to shop, explore, eat, and enjoy Gotham- more to come!
XOXO

If only the Visa commerical's cupcake dream home was real..
Everyone can attest to my love of cupcakes; I somehow never regret indulging in them. If it seems like all hope of getting a pair of glisteningLoubs is lost, there is the perfect alternative we all can celebrate. Maybe holiday shopping isn’t your thing. You anticipate Grandma’s homemade bundt cake more so than scavenging for Dad’s perfect pair of cufflinks. Whether you’re a holiday cynic, last minute shopper, or crunched for cash, there is one treat that will never fail. A select few designers, namely Christian Louboutin, Chanel, Betsey Johnson, and Louis Vuitton have designed the ultimate edible luxuries. Whether or not these gems are actually available for purchase is unclear, but I suppose it's the thought that counts.
Plans can fall through, but clothes are a girl's best friend.
You're going to need a getaway transportation for your escapades, why not Neiman Marcus' $25,000 cupcake car?
Shoes: Burberry Prorsum, I these were given to me, i'd most likely drift off into a cloud towards heaven.
Jetsetting during the holiday season is incomplete without a companion.
Holiday chaos ensues from the moment Thanksgiving ends. I for one, look forward to nothing more in the holiday season than staying in my beloved city, and enjoying its winter magic. As always we make lists of our wants and needs, whether or not we actually get them. I find that making my wish list is best accompanied by a side of Jacques Torres’ Wicked Hot chocolate, while listening to Phoenix.
What i'm wearing: Blueberry colored denim skirt by American Apparel , striped three quarter sleeve shirt by H&M, vintage Buddha necklace, heart necklace from Blue Tree, and a vintage belt found at Zachary's Smile.

Photos taken from MTV.com
The most horrid news has occurred leaving me brokenhearted. It’s On With Alexa Chung, has been canceled. I just cannot fathom this. MTV finally aired a TV show that wasn’t trashy or drama-filled and yet extremely entertaining none the less. Sorry Jersey Shore, but Alexa proved herself to be MTV’s beacon of hope. Besides her charming accent, Alexa brought to the states her quirky sense of style, and raunchy humor. If Alexa's show has been exterminated, what's next for the network? The Real Housewives of Convicts?
Clip from Lifetime's Coco Chanel
I finally took time to see Coco Before Chanel, at the Paris Theatre on Friday. Compared to the Lifetime bio of Coco Chanel with Shirley Maclaine, I felt the movie lacked spirit and a depiction of Coco's inspiration process; transitioning from her hat business to her famed brand of couture. What the movie did have to offer more so than its predecessor, was the acting and charm of Audrey Tautou. Throughout the entirety of the movie I was lusting after her clothes and how she perfectly blended her masculine and feminine pieces. In one scene, Coco wears a man’s tailored shirt with a tie, which she meticulously cuts to create a bow.
What I'm wearing: Anthony + Mo cashmere "baseball jersey" sweater, BDG jeans from UO, Aerosoles loafers, and a vintage black beret.
Having time to spare before the movie began, I paid a visit to the Plaza; a place where my absoloute favorite book, Eloise takes place. Demel, a scrumptious Viennese sweet shop located in midst of the Plaza Hotel, offers pink petit fours that brighten any blustery day. In honor of my beloved Eloise's favorite color, I ordered these rum soaked pink gems.
Venturing further in the Plaza, we found Eloise's home; a fantasy-land drenched in pink.
Movies still on my to see list:
New York, I Love You
Wait Until Dark
The September Issue (I know, how could I have missed it?)
Adventureland
Funny Face (this one I've seen, but I just can't get enough)
WWW's November lookbook is the perfect inspiration to help transition from an autumn to wintry wardrobe. I know for me letting go of the warm months is always a struggle, but WWW incoporated my love affair with berets and colored gloves, into their shoot. Now this I think I can handle :)
My style is derived from my city of New York, or as I prefer to call it Gotham. I love finding thrift stores and scavenging through vintage shows to find unique bits and pieces to add to my wardrobe.
